Singer was one of the biggest buildings in the facility. The buildings has a great deal of history from what could be found there, barber chairs, dentist chairs, steel beds, kitchens, and anything else a mental hospital has to offer. It seems though that the Illinois Diversatech Corporation soon realized that by demolishing this magnificent structure, it would draw income from the building of low-income housing in its place. So the demolition goes on... soon it will be completely demolished and Francais Smith will have a nice smile on his face just thinking of how he demolished a piece of history, and made money off it.
